
The regular meetings of the Solana Beach City Council are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Solana Beach City Council Chambers located at 635 South Highway 101, Solana Beach, California, 92075.

Solana Beach is a General Law City operated by a Council/Manager form of government. The City Council serves as a legislative body and consists of five Council members, one of whom is chosen to act as Mayor for a one-year term on a rotating basis. Council members are leaders and policy makers elected as representatives to concentrate on policy issues that are responsive to the needs of the citizens.

The City Council makes a conscientious effort to keep the citizens informed of City activities, policies, and events. Other selected workshops and community meetings pertaining to: City Budget, Redevelopment, View Vegetation, Coastal Rail Trail, Cliff Street & Rosa Street Bridges when possible.
